We are World HAND International
World HAND International - Humanitarian Action and Development e.V. a registered, German non-profit organisation which has been supporting people in Ukraine with humanitarian aid and development cooperation in the frontline areas in Eastern Ukraine.
First and foremost, we are passionate about what we do and extend our support to Ukraine in these difficult times. Working closely with our network in Ukraine and Germany we provide humanitarian support to and work in development cooperation with internally displaced people (IDPs), the most vulnurable in the front line areas, as well as professionals on the ground.
We do what we do because we know first hand how important it is.
Our Goals
We aim to improve the lives of people affected by war, who have lost or have had to leave their homes, to survive, live in dignity, recover from trauma and preserve their strength to regain control of their situation. We further aim for the development of service structures and training capacities for mental health and psychoscial support in Ukraine (MHPSS).
How We Achieve Those
WHI works in hard-to-reach areas often underserved by humanitarian assistance to provide essential supplies, shelter, psycho-social support and evacuation opportunities to women, children, the elderly and people with disabilities. With WHI´s focus on psychosocial support, and its access to people in need and to staff working on the ground (NGOs, hospitals, companies, etc.) training and curricula for psychological professionals and students of psychology take place.
How We Work
In close collaboration with our local and trusted partners, we provide support where it is most needed to those most in need. All partners are well experienced in what they do, each partner we know personally and have worked with to ensure quality assistance and efficiency in project deliverables.
By harnessing many years’ experience in humanitarian aid and development cooperation, our Ukrainian and German Board members focus WHI’s work on the essentials and build programmes that achieve the goals set.

With the start of the full scale invasion Hanna Roseveare committed herself to the support of her homecountry. Connected to the Diaspora community, with a wide network within Ukraine and a professional background in project management in the social and entrepreneurship sphere, enable an informed, efficient and needs-based approach in WHI projects.
